Tribute to Charles-Michel de L'Epée (1712 - 1789) called Abbé de L'Epée.

Considered the Spiritual Father of the Deaf , he was a forerunner of the intellectual and social emancipation of the deaf community and enabled the recognition of the deaf. He dedicated his life and his fortune to the creation of schools for the teaching of sign language (LSF). Two years after his death, the National Assembly recognized him and listed him as a benefactor of humanity.
